Growing exports
In the first semester of 2007, Chilean exports of salmon and trout totaled 276 843 tonnes worth US$ 1 284.9 million. These levels represent a 18.7% growth in terms of volume and a 24% increase in value compared to the same period in 2006. At the same time, the value figure accounted for 63.9% of the total income from Chilean exports of fishery products.
