Mr Aziz Akhannouch, minister of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries, received on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Rabat, Morocco his counterpart Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim, Minister of Animal Resources, Fisheries and Range, in the Republic of Sudan. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral ties in the fisheries sector, and the promotion and diversification of fishery products. During the meeting, the two ministers discussions focused on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation through the conclusion of a partnership agreement covering the fisheries sector.

It should be noted that this visit was at the invitation of INFOSAMAK Centre addressed to His Excellency Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim, Minister of Animal Resources, Fisheries and Range, in the Republic of the Sudan, to preside the preparatory meeting for the Eighth Ordinary Governing Council of INFOSAMAK Centre scheduled to take place on July 28-29, 2015 at Khartoum- Republic of Sudan and whose presidency is currently held by the Republic of Sudan.


The Minister's visit was also an opportunity to meet with officials of several fishing sector institutions, including the National Office of Fisheries (ONP) and the National Fisheries Research Institute (INRH).
